Privacy Notice
What we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.
This notice explains what personal information Amaltas London Limited collects when you use www.amaltaslondonlimited.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. Last updated: 8 August 2026.
Who we are
Amaltas London Limited is the "data controller" of the personal information described here. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15764866, with a registered office at Unit 2, 20 Woodland Avenue, Slough, England, SL1 3BU.
For any privacy question, or to exercise any of the rights below, email us at info@amaltaslondonlimited.com.
The information we collect
We collect only what we need to sell to you and support you afterwards:
- Order information — your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, and the items you bought.
- Account and trade applications — your business name, contact details, website and the information you give us when applying for a wholesale account.
- Messages you send us — anything you write in our contact form, by email or over WhatsApp.
- Technical information — your IP address, browser type and pages viewed, collected automatically so the site works and stays secure.
We do not see or store your full card details at any point. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe on their own secure systems.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To take payment and deliver your order — necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support — necessary to perform our contract, or our legitimate interest in helping customers.
- To assess and manage wholesale account applications — our legitimate interest in operating a trade business.
- To keep accounting and tax records — necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure — our legitimate interest in protecting our business and customers.
- To send marketing emails — only where you have given consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the suppliers who help us run the shop, and only as far as they need it:
- Stripe — to process card payments securely.
- Delivery partners such as Royal Mail and our couriers — to deliver your order.
- Our hosting and database providers, Vercel and Supabase — to run and store the website.
- Our email provider — to send order confirmations and replies.
- Professional advisers, and government or law-enforcement bodies where we are legally required to disclose information.
Sending information outside the UK
Some of our suppliers store data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on approved safeguards — such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement — so your information keeps the same level of protection it has here.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function — remembering your basket, your chosen display currency, and keeping your session secure. We also use limited analytics to understand which pages are used, so we can improve them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the basket and checkout may stop working correctly if you block essential ones.
How long we keep it
- Order and transaction records — six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax law requires.
- Contact form messages and enquiries — up to two years after our last contact with you.
- Wholesale applications — for as long as the trade account is open, and two years after it closes.
- Marketing consent — until you unsubscribe or withdraw it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate information corrected.
- Ask us to delete your information, where we have no ongoing legal reason to keep it.
- Ask us to restrict how we use your information, or object to us using it.
- Receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
To exercise any of these, email info@amaltaslondonlimited.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
